Sonya began sailing and racing in Boston Harbor with her family members on their Frers 33 over 20 yrs ago, which has been replaced by a J105.  She has since been sailing and racing in the bay area for the past 4yrs.  Her race experience includes YRA buoy races as well as several OYRA races.  Boats raced range from Colgate 26 to Beneteau First 47.7.  Sonya is also finishing her CPM certification (complete up to and including skipper level), and is certified under US Sailing for BK, BC, BBC and Coastal Navigation.
